WHAT IS TELEHEALTH?
Telehealth is a way to provide mental health services using video and audio technology. I use a HIPAA-Compliant Telehealth application for our sessions.
HOW DOES TELEHEALTH WORK?
Before your appointment, I will provide you with a link to join our session at the agreed upon scheduled time. Once we are both in the Telehealth "room," we will begin our session as we typically would in person. The only difference between telehealth and in person sessions that I have found is that pajamas are far less frowned upon in Telehealth sessions than when we go out in public. And our fur-babies can join in sessions too.
IS TELEHEALTH SECURE TO USE?
I use a HIPAA compliant platform provided by TherapyIQ. It's completely confidential and no video or audio of our sessions are recorded or stored. If ever TherapyIQs system is down, we will use HIPAA Compliant Zoom.
DO I HAVE TO SUBSCRIBE TO OR PURCHASE A SERVICE TO USE TELEHEALTH?
No, there is no subscription, purchase, or software download required. Please let me know if you need help getting it set up.
IS TELEHEALTH COVERED BY INSURANCE?
Most insurance plans cover telehealth in the same way as in-person therapy. If this changes, we will come up with a plan together.
